25-Year-Old Nabbed In Stabbing Of Man On Long Island

A suspect is behind bars following a stabbing attack on Long Island that sent a man to the hospital.

The incident happened in Massapequa, near the intersection of Polo and Oxford roads, shortly after 11 p.m. Monday, Oct. 7. 

Nassau County Police said a 22-year-old man and a 25-year-old man got into an argument before the older man stabbed the victim in his torso and arm. He then fled the scene in an SUV.

The victim was taken to a hospital where he was listed in stable condition.

Officers later located the suspect, Joseph Fochi, of North Massapequa, and arrested him without incident.

Fochi is charged with second-degree assault. He was scheduled to be arraigned at First District Court in Hempstead on Tuesday, Oct. 8.
